Job Details
Are you a NP or PA that wants to take the next step in their career? ChristianaCare is currently recruiting for an Advance Practice Clinician for our Advanced Heart Failure Program. The selected candidate will be responsible for providing clinical leadership and administrative oversight for our team of APCs across multiple sites, including Christiana and Wilmington.
With more than 2,000 primary heart failure discharges per year, you will have every opportunity to make a significant impact on the outcomes of our heart failure population. The NP/PA will also be required to maintain on-call coverage in a rotating call schedule with the other 4 APC's for the LVAD program (must be within a 45 minute response time of the hospital while on call). Generous compensation for on-call coverage is provided.
ChristianaCare is one of the top 10 busiest heart failure programs in the United States, providing unprecedented opportunities to care for heart failure patients not seen at any other hospital system in the State. You will have the opportunity to utilize cutting edge technology and health informatics to assist your clinical skills in providing outstanding care to a wide array of patients. As we look to change and improve how heart failure has been treated in the past, we have created innovative programs to enhance compliance/optimization of Guideline Directed Medical Therapy (GDMT) along with prevention of unnecessary early readmissions. These are just a couple of the key highlights of the work we do. As home to the only Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) program in Delaware, you will be part of the care team for this unique patient population from initial evaluation through post-op management, making a true difference in improving the lives of those we serve.
