Hours:ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  M-F; 7:00 am 1:30 pm, 6 hours per day; 183 daysย

Job Description:

Want to make a healthy difference in a student's life by becoming a Lunch Lady or Food Dude? We are looking for an energetic self-starter to join our team! As part of UCSD#1 Nutrition Services we strive to feed our students the best meals possible. It is a fast-paced environment with emphasis on communication, multi-tasking, and reliability. Each day you will serve breakfast and lunch as well as assist the Kitchen Manger with any assigned duties. Food safety and basic math skills are a plus. Teamwork is essential in the kitchen, school, department, and district settings.

Qualifications:

  1. High School diploma or equivalent
  2. Experience in quantity food preparation and serving preferred.
  3. Basic math, written, and oral communication skills.
  4. Ability to perform all physical requirements including full range of motion and lift 50 pounds.

Responsibilities:

  1. Assist in preparing and serving healthy meals to students.
  2. Properly clean and sanitize all equipment daily and as needed throughout the day i.e.: dishes, counters, floors.
  3. Maintain food safety, state, and federal guidelines.
  4. Support Kitchen Manager in daily tasks.
  5. Operate kitchen equipment safely.
  6. Have a positive attitude and present yourself in a pleasant, clean, positive personal/professional manner.
