Job description

Location:The Sanctuary - Outpatient Center -8960 Colonial Center DriveFort Myers FL 33905

Department: Womens Breast Center

Work Type: Full Time

Shift: Shift 1/8:30:00AM to 5:00:00PM

Minimum to Midpoint Pay Rate:$30.39 - $39.50 / hour

Summary

Performs screening and diagnostic mammography, and bone density. Must also perform specialized breast biopsies to include stereotactic breast biopsies and needle/savi localization under the direction of a qualified physician. Ensures that quality control as required under the ACR (American College of Radiology) and MQSA (Mammography Quality Standards Act) is being met. Works positively with all customers to promote patient, employee and physician satisfaction. Participates in performance improvement initiatives. Participates in staff/student orientation training.

Requirements

Education: Two years formal education in a hospital-based program or associates degree in radiologic technology required.

Experience: One year experience in mammography related services required.

Certification: ARRT certification in radiology required. ARRT certification in mammography required. Documentation and completions of 40 hours of mammographic continuing education required by MQSA after April 28,1999. ARRT Registered or certification in Bone Densitometry optional.

License: Florida Radiologic Technology license required.
