Job description

Job Title: Test Engineer Location: Weston, Florida Type: Contract Compensation: $40-46.66/hr Contractor Work Model: Hybrid Join a collaborative and innovation-driven medical technology organization as a Software Test Engineer supporting critical healthcare applications and devices. In this contract role, youโ€™ll work within Agile Scrum teams to execute manual and automated testing, ensure compliance with regulated industry standards, and contribute to the delivery of high-quality software solutions that directly impact patient care and outcomes.

Responsibilities โ€ข Collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other team members to fully understand requirements and ensure high-quality implementations and application changes. โ€ข Participate in daily Scrum meetings, Sprint planning, Sprint Retrospective, and Backlog grooming meetings with Scrum team members to support cross-functional teams and execute testing for multiple ongoing projects. โ€ข Review user stories and analyze software requirements with the product owner and developers to ensure they are clear and testable. โ€ข Create, review, and execute manual and/or automated test cases to verify the correct functionality, usability, performance, and reliability of systems and applications. โ€ข Create and execute test designs and test plans with minimal supervision to verify adherence to the companyโ€™s development process and software requirement specifications. โ€ข Adhere to fundamental industry standards, design requirements, and test strategies that apply to regulatory requirements. โ€ข Assist in test planning and risk analysis activities. โ€ข Clearly document and track defects for anomalies found during test development and procedures utilizing designated tools. Verify the effectiveness of resolutions to anomalies and document results. โ€ข May periodically lead and train less experienced employees. โ€ข B.S. of Engineering with 3 or more years of software testing experience. โ€ข Knowledge of regulatory standards applicable to medical device and software development life cycle: 21 CFR part 820, ISO 13485, ISO 14971, and IEC 62304 preferred. โ€ข Demonstrated experience in software testing methods, test case development, and software development practices. โ€ข Knowledge of SDLC methodologies including waterfall and AGILE (e.g. Scrum, Kanban). โ€ข Experience with JAMA, Jira, and other testing/management tools. โ€ข Knowledge of C++ and Python. โ€ข Demonstrated experience using Windows, Microsoft Office, and Outlook.

Requirements โ€ข At least 3 years of experience in software testing and validation. โ€ข Strong understanding of regulatory standards such as 21 CFR and ISO 13485. โ€ข Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies for software projects. โ€ข Proficiency with JIRA, JAMA, and test automation tools. โ€ข Programming skills in C++ and Python. โ€ข Excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. โ€ข Bachelorโ€™s Degree in Engineering or related field.
