Job description

About the Organization
Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We're looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.
About the Role
Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Database Developer to lead the evolution and maintenance of high-performance data warehouses. In this role, you will be the architect of the infrastructure that powers critical government insights. You won't just be managing data; you will be designing and constructing the very foundation that allows federal agencies to turn massive datasets into actionable intelligence. Your work ensures that data remains accessible, verified, and ready for the mission-critical challenges our clients face every day.
Key Responsibilities
  • Perform end-to-end data warehouse design and construction to support large-scale government data initiatives.
  • Provide comprehensive product support and proactive maintenance of the enterprise data warehouse.
  • Prepare and implement rigorous data verification and testing methods to ensure the highest levels of data integrity.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate mission requirements into scalable data warehouse architectures.
  • Optimize data warehouse performance through efficient indexing, partitioning, and storage strategies.
  • Develop and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines to facilitate the seamless flow of information into the warehouse.
  • Document data models, schemas, and testing procedures to ensure architectural transparency and compliance.
  • Support the integration of the data warehouse with downstream analytics and visualization tools.

Required Experience/Clearance
  • Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical field.
  • 8+ years of professional experience in database development and data warehousing.
  • Proven experience in the design, construction, and deployment of enterprise-scale data warehouses.
  • Strong proficiency in SQL and advanced data modeling techniques.
  • Demonstrated experience implementing data verification and validation methods.

Desired Experience
We encourage all candidates who meet the basic requirements to apply, even if you do not have any of the following experience:
  • Experience with modern cloud-based data platforms such as Databricks or Snowflake.
  • Familiarity with big data processing frameworks like Apache Spark.
  • Knowledge of version control systems, specifically GitLab, for managing database code.
  • Experience working in an Agile development environment using Jira.
  • Proficiency in Python or Scala for data manipulation and automation.
  • Prior experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or Intelligence Community (IC) data programs.

The salary range provided for this position represents the anticipated base salary for successful candidates. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including relevant experience, education, certifications, skills, security clearance level, geographic location, market conditions, and internal equity.
