Job description

Carpenter 2 will perform intermediate-level carpentry duties, including the construction, repair, and maintenance of hospital buildings, such as patient care areas, administrative offices, and common areas. This position requires a solid understanding of carpentry techniques and the ability to work independently on various projects.

Experience: 4 years carpentry experience

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent 

Licensure/Certification: OSHA 10: Basic Safety 

  • The Hospital Carpenter will perform installing and repairing wood, metal, and other materials 
  • They will perform intermediate carpentry tasks such as framing, drywall installation, flooring, cabinetry, and furniture repairs 
  •  The carpenter will maintain tools and equipment in a safe and operational condition 
  •  Work with experienced carpenters and supervisors to learn more advanced carpentry techniques. 
  • Additionally, they will remove and install partitions, doors, and windows,
  •  Adhere to safety protocols and infection control practices in patient areas, 
  • Ensure work is performed according to hospital standards, codes, and regulations,
  • Assists in maintaining accurate records of work completed and materials used
