The Beatrice Inn is looking for professional Captains
Our dining room Captains' are responsible for being the lead team member for the guests' experience. A thorough knowledge of the menu and beverage program is required in order to effortlessly field all guests' questions and requests and to be able to provide an exceptional experience.
CAPTAIN REQUIREMENTS:
Professional, articulate, friendly, and punctual.
Possesses and exhibits the drive to provide exceptional service.
Full-time flexible hours are required (able to work nights, weekends, holidays).
Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
Proficient in computer skills including MICROS system.
Experience in New York Times 2- or 3-star restaurants preferred.
A minimum of 4 years' experience in a fine dining restaurant as a lead server or captain
Impeccable service standards and attention to detail
An appreciation of fine food & wine
Professional demeanor, polished appearance with the ability to exceed our guest's expectations
Sense of urgency, quick and savvy
Ability to move with grace and efficiency
Excellent verbal communication skills
Carving skills and cheese knowledge is a plus
