Job Description
Schedule and FTE:
  • 1st Shift
  • 7/70 - B Week - (7 days on, 7 days off)
  • Mon-Sun, 6:00am - 4:30pm.

Summary:
  • Under the supervision of the Neurodiagnostic (ND) Tech Educator or ND Coordinator assists in the development of and training in the educational department standards of care.
  • Additionally performs a wide variety of advanced neurodiagnostic studies to include Electroencephalography (EEG) Electromyography (EMG) long-term and intraoperative monitoring evoked potentials nerve conduction velocities autonomic testing neuro-interventional radiology (WADA) and positron emission tomography (PET) including diagnostic and investigative studies in the laboratory at the bedside and in critical care units and in the operating room on all ages of patients served by the department.
  • Other duties include but are not limited to charge capture scheduling patients.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • A minimum of 3+ years of experience is required.
  • Ability to perform Electroencephalography (EEG) in addition to 2 or more of the following Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV) Autonomics Long Term Monitoring Evoked Potentials and Magnetoencephalography.
  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • 3+ years of proven experience as a Neurodiagnostic Technician is preferred with the proven ability to perform Electroencephalography (EEG) in addition to 2 or more of the following;
    • Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV) Autonomics Long Term Monitoring Evoked Potentials or Magnetoencephalography and/or be a graduate of an accredited Neurodiagnostic Technology program accredited by the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET) (See licensure requirements).
  • It is preferred to have 2 registries from ABRET (American Board of Registration of Electroneurodiagnostic Technologist) in any of the following:
    • Registered Electroencephalography (EEG) Technologist Nerve Conduction Velocity Testing (EMG/NCV) Certified Autonomic Professional (CAP) Certified Long Term Monitoring Technologist (CLTM) Registered Evoked Potential Technologist.
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for the Healthcare Provider (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days.
