Job description

EMG Central Scheduler

At Mountain Land Physical Therapy, our vision is to provide a primary care Physical Therapist for everyone. With over 70 clinics across Utah, Idaho, and Montana—and a fast-growing footprint supported by private equity investment—we are building high-performance teams that drive operational excellence and deliver outstanding patient care. We are looking for an EMG Central Scheduler to join our Clinical Operations team. This individual will oversee the EMG Central Scheduling Specialists and ensure efficient, professional, and patient-centered scheduling across multiple clinic locations.

The EMG Central Scheduler drives patient access to care and diagnostic revenue by converting EMG referrals into scheduled evaluations through high-touch, accurate, and responsive scheduling services. This role ensures prompt, professional communication, supports diagnostic operations, and enhances the patient experience by managing intake, verifying insurance alignment, and coordinating scheduling logistics across multiple systems and locations.

What You'll Do

  • Respond to inbound and outbound scheduling needs.
  • Manage EMG referral pipeline and ensure all referrals are followed up in a timely manner.
  • Ensure accurate patient data entry and documentation are uploaded promptly into the patient account.
  • Provide patient education and clear communication regarding the EMG process.
  • Support operational tasks related to EMG workflow
  • Handle EMG line calls and outreach using a standardized, 4-touch follow-up cadence.
  • Manage unscheduled lists, send EMG reports, and perform regular system maintenance checks.

Pay: $15 – $17 per hour (based on experience)

Hours and Benefits: This is a full-time, fully benefited position that is eligible to receive medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, as well as 401(k), PTO, and wellness incentives. Benefits add roughly 20–30% additional income to the pay range.

Specific Hours/Days: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM – 6:00 PM; In office 5 days per week.

Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in medical scheduling or patient intake.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and EMR systems (e.g., Prompt).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Preferred:

  • Prior experience with EMG, neurology, or therapy scheduling.
  • Familiarity with insurance verification and multi-location healthcare operations.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must be cleared on State and Federal Exclusion Lists and have no negative notes on NPDB.
