This is a Travel position. You must live more than 30 miles from the facility to be considered for this position.

Description:
CT TechnologistShift Details
  • 3x12-hour shifts
  • Friday - Sunday, 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM
  • On-call and holiday requirement per unit needs
  • On-call: 2-3 call shifts per month
  • Callback and holiday coverage required per unit needs
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Confirm patient identity and exam verification prior to initiating the scan, strictly adhering to department policy and procedure for patient safety
  • Coordinate with physicians to provide diagnostic imaging
  • Prepare patients for scans and explain the procedure to help them feel comfortable
  • Insert IVs when necessary for the test
  • Position patients accordingly, which may include lifting or moving patients with limited mobility; must utilize safe patient handling
  • Maintain accurate patient record keeping by properly documenting all necessary components within EPIC, including identifying images and assuring images are sent to the PACS system correctly upon exam completion
  • Maintain a clean and safe scanning facility
Requirements
  • Completion of formal training in an approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Maintains certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
  • HCPs currently registered in NYS will be required to have injection therapy certification stated on their license at time of submission
  • NYS licensure (must obtain prior to starting position)
  • Two (2) years of experience
  • Level 1 Trauma Center experience
  • BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
  • Telemetry
Preferred Qualifications
  • Injection certification preferred - must be willing to complete during orientation process
  • Knowledge of Philips and Siemens equipment preferred
