Travel RN – Labor & Delivery Nurse Lead | San Luis Obispo, CA | 3x12 Nights | No Call | Travel Contract | Competitive Pay

We're looking for an experienced Labor & Delivery RN Nurse Lead/Charge Nurse for a 13-week travel contract in beautiful San Luis Obispo, California. This is a hands-on leadership opportunity for an experienced L&D nurse who can provide strong clinical support while helping guide the nursing team.

Schedule

  • 3x12 Night Shifts

  • 6:00 PM – 6:30 AM

  • 36 hours/week

  • Rotating schedule based on department needs

  • No call required

What You'll Do

  • Provide direct L&D nursing care while functioning as a clinical leader on the unit.

  • Supervise and support nursing and ancillary staff during the shift.

  • Coordinate patient care, staffing needs and unit workflow.

  • Assist with deliveries, L&D recoveries and C-section newborn care.

  • Partner with physicians, nursing leadership and the care team to maintain safe, high-quality patient care.

Requirements

  • Active California RN license.

  • 5+ years of nursing/L&D experience.

  • Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience.

  • Previous Charge Nurse experience required.

  • BLS, ACLS and NRP required.

  • AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring completed within the last 2 years.

  • EPIC experience required.
