Job description

About the Role:

The Water Tester - Collagen is responsible for carrying out water inflation tests on the product to detect anomalies and findings that negatively impact on the production process and the final customer. Works closely with the shift's ATL and the shift's Production Supervisor, avoiding waste to achieve production goals under safety and quality standards in a timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent with completion of relevant technical training in water testing or laboratory procedures.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise testing protocols.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and reporting.
  • Reading skills/comprehension to understand and follow written instructions.
  • Basic math skills.
  • Bi-lingual or Spanish Speaking

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in laboratory testing, preferably in water quality analysis or a related field.
  • Familiarity with standard water testing methods and regulatory guidelines applicable to manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Collect and prepare water samples from various stages of the collagen manufacturing process for analysis.
  • Perform chemical, physical, and microbiological tests on water samples using standardized laboratory techniques and equipment.
  • Record, analyze, and report test results accurately, ensuring compliance with internal quality standards and external regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with quality control and production teams to address any water quality issues and recommend improvements.
  • Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure all testing procedures adhere to safety and quality protocols.

Physical Requirements & Working Environment:

  • Ability to work at a pace to check all material on production machines for defects.
  • Walking, bending, stretching and standing on feet entire shift (between 8 - 10 hours per shift)
  • Willing to work rotating shifts and and overtime.
  • Must be wiling to work in various environments, as well as in hot/cold/loud conditions, around hazardous materials, and in confined spaces or heights.
  • Be able to lift at least 10-20lbs.
