Job Title: Center Store 3rd Shift Stocker

Reports to: Center Store 3rd Shift Manager

SUMMARY:

Center Store Third Shift Stockers are an important part of our commitment to keeping items in stock for guests.  The team is responsible for stocking and organizing across multiple departments, including grocery, frozen, dairy, general merchandise, wine & spirits, and health & beauty. This position keeps aisles clean and shelves stocked, ensuring guests enjoy a well-organized shopping experience each day by restocking during the evening/night shift.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure product quality and presentation: Complete product rotation using first in-first out method, ensure product is in-date, and verify that all items are properly displayed according to planograms.
  • Guest Service: Provide exceptional and helpful guest service by greeting, acknowledging, and reacting to guest needs throughout the store and across departments.
  • Assist with stock organization and unloading: Help unload product deliveries from pallets and maintain organized stock rooms across multiple departments.
  • Maintain product presentation: Ensure products are presented properly on shelves, in cases, and throughout the store for an enjoyable shopping experience.
  • Correct sales floor conditions: Observe store conditions and take immediate action to address any areas of opportunity for improvement.
  • Inventory and pricing management: Maintain appropriate inventory levels in all departments, ensuring pricing accuracy on products received and sold, and keeping ad items in-stock.
  • Collaboration with leadership and team members: Communicate and collaborate with the Center Store leadership team and associates to uphold standards and exceed guest expectations.
  • Cashier Trained: Ready to step in at the register, and/or support store closing procedures when needed.
  • Guest assistance: Help guests locate items across departments, suggest products, and provide alternatives when necessary.
  • Issue resolution: Address guest concerns or dissatisfaction with products or service and take action to resolve issues promptly.
  • Department cleanliness: Contribute to the cleanliness of departments by organizing, sanitizing, and maintaining clean work areas, shelves, and the sales floor.
  • Honor commitments: Maintain regular, timely attendance in accordance with the work schedule, providing adequate notice for replacements when needed for occasional absences.
  • Support the Team: Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to learn and use various systems, including Point-Of-Sale register system.
  • Ability to learn and safely use the following equipment:  power jack, walk behind lift, WAV, baler, compactor. 

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT

The physical demands and work environment described below are representative of those that must be met by an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions. 

  • The associate must possess the ability to stand in place for long periods of time; work in a cooler, walk in the store; bend, stoop and kneel regularly.
  • The associate must have full range of upper body motion in order to lift product.  Requires the ability to perform repetitive tasks for prolonged periods of time
  • Must possess functional sensory abilities in order to visually monitor the store, create attractive displays, and to operate equipment.
  • The position requires the associate to lift up to 50 pounds on a consistent basis.
  • This role requires working in varying temperatures and humidity levels, moving between temperature-controlled areas, freezers, coolers, and the receiving area.

WORK SCHEDULE:

The Center Store 3rd Shift Stocker is a position that can be part-time or full-time. The work schedule will primarily include night, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
