Job description

Overview
As a Civil Engineer for Civil & Environmental Consultants, Inc. (CEC) in our Athens, PA office, you will work with other team members on natural gas projects (pipelines, well pads, and other facilities), electric utility projects (distribution and transmission lines), solar energy development projects, and commercial and institutional site development projects. You'll be introduced and mentored in many areas of civil engineering, including site layout and grading, hydrology/drainage and post construction stormwater management, E&S design, plan production, stormwater pollution prevention plans, and inspections. You may conduct fieldwork such as site visits, E&S inspections, and infiltration testing.
You will work with Assistant Project Managers and Project Managers to execute projects, and you will have the opportunity to interact with clients, contractors, and state and local agencies. You will get the opportunities to work with our other practices such as ecological, survey, and geotechnical. Our goal is to provide a broad range of project experiences to help in your career growth.

Qualifications
  • B.S. in Civil Engineering;
  • 2-5 years' experience in a related field performing civil or environmental engineering designs, plans, and inspections (permitting experience in PA or NY is a plus);
  • Ability to utilize industry standard software and other tools (proficiency in AutoCAD/Civil 3D is a plus);
  • E.I.T., F.E., or other related certifications are a plus;
  • Attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, strong verbal and written communication skills; and
  • Willingness to learn new skills and work as part of a team.
