Job description

Position Summary

The 3D Generalist at STERIS is responsible for creating 3D content (models and presentation material to include UI and UX material) and instructional material for project, sales, service, and customer programs. This individual utilizes multiple programs as primary development tools for other downstream support functions and content including but not limited to immersive virtual reality platforms product configurators, and instructional material.

What You'll do as a 3D Generalist
  • Support Content Group in creating a standard workflow for 3D content development and ongoing maintenance.
  • Take direction on prioritization for 3D content creation and meet set deadlines. Deadlines driven by customer need and support of the organization.
  • Work with engineering/R&D and marketing for source files to develop standard expectations.
  • Responsible for materials assignments, parametric details, artistry, and inverse kinematics (IK) on 3D content.
  • Responsible for User Interface development and User Experience design
  • Provide one/one mentoring of daily responsibilities and skills within Content Group for cross functional multidisciplinary support.
  • Travel as needed for ongoing training.
The Experience, Abilities and Skills Needed
  • Bachelors Degree and 2 years of relevant experience OR Associates and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience 3D modeling.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office applications; Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Word.
  • Functional understanding of any of the following: Unity 3D and Unreal3D.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Maya (preferred) or 3D Studio Max
  • Functional understanding of healthcare planning philosophies and techniques, hospital design and Policies and Procedures is desired.
  • Demonstrate ability to develop and apply analytical approaches to assignments and to develop and implement solutions.
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented.
  • Above average written and verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to select, train and develop entry-level personnel.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate with Architects, Consultants, Contractors and Customers on a professional level.

Pay range for this opportunity is $68,600 - $88,000.This position is eligible for bonus participation.

Minimum pay rates offered will comply with county/city minimums, if higher than range listed. Pay rates are based on a number of factors, including but not limited to local labor market costs, years of relevant experience, education, professional certifications, foreign language fluency, etc.
