Overview:

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is hiring an Advanced Imaging Tech for the heart hospital.

This is a Full-time, 36 per hour position--Fri- Sun 19:00- 7:00

Performs routine as well as Advanced Cardiac MR, Advanced Neuro MR/ CT imaging in the intraoperative environment and Advanced 3D Imaging for Neuro/Vascular Treatment Planning. Performs manipulation of digital cross-sectional images with 3D software in multiple planes and dimensions for clinical visualization and quantitative analysis of diagnostic and interventional studies as directed by a Physician. Performs fiber tracking of MR DTI imaging as directed by a Radiologist and/or Surgeon. Post process paradigms for functional MRI imaging under guidance of a Neuro Radiologist. Manages transfer of image data to various technology/workstations, such as: 3D software platforms and intraoperative navigational systems. Utilizes the radiology information system to complete department documentation; operates equipment safely; provides patient and family education; maintains all equipment to be clean and operational in accordance with infection control criteria.
3 years clinical experience in MR, CT or Interventional Radiology required. Cardiac experience preferred. ARRT registered in CT or MR required. Dual modality preferred
