Job description

Our mine services group is seeking a full-time Engineer for our Northwood, OH branch. The primary responsibilities of the position consist of, but are not limited to:

  • Perform 2D and 3D designs in Autodesk AutoCAD and Inventor 
  • Collaborate with others (managers, designers, field techs, customer, drafters, administration) 
  • Develop designs, including specification and calculations to document compliance with project and code requirements 
  • Performs a variety of engineering calculations, for foundations, reinforce concrete structure and components, structural steel frames and other similar concrete and steel structural components and systems 
  • Generates fully compliant civil/structural drawing for layouts, building sections/plans/details, foundation details, steelwork details and architectural feature design 
  • Assist in the preparation and approval of design documents and plant modifications, including supervision of engineers and designers in document development 
  • Provides technical expertise and guidance to develop, manage and implement engineering analysis, activities and programs to identify and resolve equipment and system problems. 
  • All other duties as assigned by a supervisor/manager 

Qualifications

  • Mechanical or Civil Engineer 
  • Applicants must be capable of managing multiple projects at once with tight deadlines 
  • Should be comfortable visiting clients’ facilities and performing physical work such as walking, stooping, kneeling and climbing stairs/ladders 
  • Proficient in Structural Design (Conveyors, structural towers and foundation work are a plus) 
  • Drafting of infrastructure, based of field measurements, or provided drawings, while meeting time and budget constraints
