Job description

Manufacturing Engineer Intern

We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our Target Rock team in the Manufacturing Engineering (ME) Department! As a ME Intern, you will assist engineers and CNC programmers with research tooling, fixturing, process planning and other standard production work. You will also work hands on with CNC machinists and programmers on capital equipment implementation tasks under the Manufacturing Engineering Supervisor. You will also gain experience in CNC programming, calculating feeds and speeds, designing fixtures, custom tooling designs and methodization.

Location: East Farmingdale, NY.

Hourly pay: $18-20 an hour

Criteria such as the candidate's qualifications and relevant experience, the scope of the specific position, as well as market and business considerations will be evaluated when extending an offer.

Your Challenge

  • Assist in organizing and documenting tool assembly
  • Assist in generating documentation for machine shop packages
  • Assist in generating CAD drawings
  • Organize manufacturing data files
  • Generate reports for non-conforming product
  • Assist in 3D model generation
  • Interface with Manufacturing and Engineering departments to ensure compliance with customer requirements
  • Additional responsibilities as assigned by Supervisors

What You Bring

  • Must be a US citizen
  • Actively pursuing Four (4) year Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, preferably Mechanical or Nuclear
  • Knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office Suite, Mastercam, NX, AutoCAD, 3D printing
