SSOE is looking to hire an Architectural Design Intern who is enthusiastic about design and ready to join our creative studio environment with the opportunity to participate in the design of state-of-the-art buildings for the world's leading companies. This is an onsite role requiring daily attendance at our Troy, MI office. Remote or hybrid work is not available for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Performs a variety of routine project design assignments, with growing responsibility, guided by a project engineer/architect or department manager.
  • Works from both own designs and designs of others, compiles data, performs design computations, makes quantity take-offs, and assists in preparation of cost estimates.
  • Drafts interpretation of own design into completed working drawings and applies design fundamentals.
  • Develops project details, prepares selections, and adapts to alternatives.
  • Maintains working knowledge of the discipline's codes and studies non-routine code issues.
  • Performs production of construction documents.

Qualifications
  • Pursuing a bachelor's or master's in a NAAB-accredited architecture program
  • Revit experience required
  • 3D rendering skills (Enscape, V-ray, SketchUp, 3D Max, etc.)
  • Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
  • Eager to learn and passionate about design
  • Demonstrated leadership in school or community
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and graphic skills
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, collaborative team player
  • Salary Range: $20-$23 per hour
