Job description

3CON is seeking an Process Technician to support the assembly, troubleshooting, installation, and optimization of custom automated production equipment. This hands-on role works closely with engineering and production teams to build, debug, and commission advanced automation systems for automotive, pharmaceutical, and medical customers often in collaboration with OEMs and Tier 1 Supplier like Ford, GM, Tesla, Mercedes and BMW.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assemble, tune, troubleshoot, and maintain automated equipment and tooling
  • Read and interpret schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical documentation
  • Troubleshoot pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems during build and run-off
  • Support final installation, commissioning, and run-off at 3CON and customer sites in North America
  • Assist engineering with equipment changes, feasibility assessments, and problem solving
  • Communicate project status, issues, and updates with Production and Program Managers
  • Maintain detailed service and run-off documentation
  • Safely operate tool room and shop equipment to modify or recondition components
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
  • Travel up to 40% for installation and service is required

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in automation, custom equipment building, or tool making
  • Knowledge of pneumatic systems and schematic troubleshooting
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Comfortable using hand tools and working in a manufacturing environment
  • Specialty tools provided by 3Con, General tools supplied by employee
  • Authorized to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with CATIA Reader or other CAD software
  • Electrical troubleshooting experience
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics,
  • Passport
