Job description

Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Manager

Rx relief is seeking a dedicated and experienced Outpatient Retail Pharmacy Manager for an upcoming opportunity near Sioux Center, IA. In this role, you will lead daily pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with pharmacy standards, and deliver exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispense and ensure the safe, efficient delivery of medications to all customers.
  • Complete pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and directing technician workflow, verifying pharmaceutical preparation and labeling, order entries, charges, and inspections.
  • Maintain open communication and provide professional consultation to patients, practitioners, and partner health facility prescribers.
  • Supervise, coordinate, and guide the daily activities of pharmacy technical, operations, and business staff.
  • Ensure full compliance with best practices for 340B contract pharmacies.
  • Administer, exercise, and enforce company policies and procedures to ensure team adherence to established guidelines.
  • Interact frequently with direct reports, customers, and peer groups across management levels to exchange information and resolve operational challenges.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • License: Active Iowa Pharmacist License required.
  • Experience: Retail/Outpatient pharmacy experience required; 2+ years of pharmacy experience preferred.
  • Specialized Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of 340B programs highly preferred.
  • Certifications: Immunization Certification required (or willingness to become certified within 90 days of hire).
  • Skills: Exceptional interpersonal relations, customer service, multitasking, and time management abilities.
