HealthyMD: Medication Management Specialist Job Description -

 A Medication Management Specialist (MMS) (Certified Pharmacy Technician) works under direct supervision of the Director of Pharmacy Operations. MMS function as integral member of the Clinics team with primary responsibilities in the management of medication inventory, storage, delivery, quality assurance, order entry, and customer service. An ideal candidate will have prior experience working in a hospitals, 340B or clinics, if this is you, look at our other requirements below and apply.

Must Have 340B Experience

Medication Management Specialist Requirements:

  • Must Have 340B Experience
  • High school diploma or GED certificate.
  • Certification and Licensing:
  • Pharmacy Technician Registration
  • National Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT)
  • 2-4 years of experience in pharmacy operations
  • preferred experience in 340B and hospital but not required
  • Strong customer service orientation skills
  • Strong Communication Skills
  • Full knowledge of Windows Office Suite; particularly Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Basic understanding of computers
  • Strong problem resolution skills
  • Ability to manage the receipt of medication inventory and samples at assigned clinic(s) including patient specific medication packages
  • Addresses medication management refill procedures with contract pharmacies
  • Prior experience Performing clinical note documentation
  • Can run inventory analytic reports in preparation to support month-end business closing
