Job description

We are seeking a dynamic candidate for a Foreclosure Summer position. The position will be responsible for researching law, investigates facts, and prepares documents to assist Lawyers. The candidate must possess clear communication skills (both written and verbal) as well as a strong desire and willingness to learn. The candidate must be confident in their ability to work in a fast-paced high-volume deadline driven environment, be computer savvy and be comfortable working with multiple monitors in a paperless workplace. The position entails a high level of attention to detail, a thoughtful learning driven motivation and requires the ability to output extremely accurate work product.

Required Experience and Skills:

  • Researches and analyzes law sources such as statutes, recorded judicial decisions, legal articles, treaties, constitutions, and legal codes
  • Investigates facts and law of case to determine causes of action and to prepare case accordingly
  • Manages deadlines effectively and efficiently
  • Handles other details in preparation for hearings
  • Prepares legal documents, develops strategy, and arguments in preparation for presentation of case.
  • Drafts and revises complaints, motions, discovery requests and other documents; Prepares pleadings, discovery and responses well in advance of deadlines
  • May accompany associates or partners to court, mediation, or depositions
  • Follows litigation policies and procedures
  • Meets standards of procedural knowledge
  • Reviews correspondence, pleadings and miscellaneous notices
