Forklift Mechanic

Pay: $25.00 per hour
Location: Collinsville, OK 74021
Shift: 1st Shift | Starting at 5:00 AM

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Mechanic to join a growing industrial maintenance team in Collinsville, OK. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining forklifts, pallet trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

The ideal Forklift Mechanic has strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting skills and is committed to maintaining equipment performance while following all safety standards.

Required Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a heavy equipment or industrial equipment mechanic
• Strong mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical troubleshooting abilities
• Ability to diagnose equipment issues and perform repairs independently
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to workplace safety
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic REQUIRED
• Technical degree or related training preferred
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair forklifts, pallet trucks, boom lifts, scissor lifts, and other industrial equipment
• Perform scheduled preventative maintenance and equipment inspections
• Complete work orders, maintenance reports, and data entry accurately and in a timely manner
• Inspect equipment for safety concerns and recommend corrective actions
• Repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and operational system failures
• Utilize diagnostic tools, manuals, and schematics to identify equipment issues
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Follow all company safety procedures and OSHA standards
• Properly utilize required PPE when working with equipment, tools, and hazardous materials
• Support production and operations by minimizing equipment downtime

Preferred Qualifications

• Technical degree in diesel technology, industrial maintenance, or related field
• Experience servicing forklifts, aerial lifts, and material handling equipment
• Familiarity with preventative maintenance programs and equipment tracking systems
• Welding or fabrication experience is a plus

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for 8 or more hours per day
• Frequent stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing, and working in confined spaces
• Ability to lift and maneuver up to 50 lbs unassisted using proper lifting techniques
• Sufficient visual acuity and depth perception to safely diagnose and repair equipment
• Ability to work safely around industrial machinery and manufacturing operations

Work Environment

• Non-climate-controlled manufacturing and fabrication environment
• Exposure to loud noises, dust, dirt, metal particles, and industrial equipment
• Work around forklifts, aerial lifts, fabrication equipment, and moving machinery
• Required PPE includes safety glasses with side shields, hearing protection, safety footwear, and additional PPE as required for specific tasks
