Job Description Summary:
The Quality Personnel is responsible for maintaining quality and conformance of all Specialty Engineered Films final products and its packaging every two hours. It is the Quality Personnel’s responsibility to accurately measure and record all information pertaining to the 2hr. zone checks.
General Responsibilities:
Perform quality checks every two hours.
Perform physical checks of product.
Preform lab testing of the product when required.
Check with supervisors when necessary and inform them of any issues.
Job Tasks:
Review Production Order at the beginning of every shift and with every new order.
Check that labels and skid sheets match the Production Order.
Review Inspection Data Sheet for accuracy.
Check dimensions, weight, seals, vents, additives, serrations, die lines and any other specific features to ensure the final product meets all the customers’ and/or Versa Pak’s specifications, record any non-conformances on the provided documents.
Fill out 2-hour zone bag check while performing quality checks.
Check that labels are correctly placed on boxes or rolls and that the number sequence is accurate.
Check that pallets are the correct size and being stacked properly.
Complete all Specialty Engineered Job Setup sheets for all orders as necessary to ensure order accuracy early in its production including samples and trials.
Verify GMP’s are followed
Verify 5S is being followed
Regulate and identify all product classification and packaging ensuring its security during transportation and proper disposition
Includes finished products, scrap, stock, and holds.
Assist the shift with banding, palletizing, skid wrapping, etc.
Knowledge and Skills:
Able to read and write in English
Trainable and willing to learn.
Attention to detail and able to spot problems.
When the Quality Personnel is not present, a suitable replacement will take his or her place.
