Job description

CNC Machine Operator – 1st Shift


Camco Precision Machining is a clean, comfortable, air-conditioned, family-owned CNC machine shop in Union Grove, WI, offering steady year-round work, great benefits and a friendly, team-oriented work environment.


We are currently hiring a CNC Machine Operator for 1st shift. We are looking for someone with previous CNC machine experience who is dependable, quality-focused and comfortable working in a production machining environment. CNC programming and full machine setup experience are a plus, although they are not required for this position.


Responsibilities

  • Operate CNC machines during production
  • Load and unload parts or material as needed
  • Monitor machines while they are running
  • Inspect parts using micrometers, calipers and gauges
  • Read basic blueprints and understand part dimensions and tolerances
  • Make basic wear offsets and dimensional adjustments as needed
  • Change inserts and basic tooling when required
  • Check parts after tool changes or adjustments
  • Watch for tool wear, damaged tools and other production issues
  • Notify management or setup personnel when problems arise
  • Complete required inspection and production paperwork
  • Keep machines and surrounding work areas clean and organized
  • Follow established quality and safety procedures


Qualifications

  • Previous CNC machine operating experience preferred
  • Experience in a machine shop or manufacturing environment
  • Ability to use micrometers, calipers and basic inspection equipment
  • Basic blueprint reading skills
  • Basic understanding of CNC machining and cutting tools
  • Ability to follow instructions and established processes
  • Dependable attendance and ability to work independently
  • CNC lathe experience is a plus
  • Okuma experience is a plus
  • Star Swiss or other Swiss CNC experience is a plus


Full CNC programming and setup experience are not required for this position.
