Title: Mechanical Assembler
Location: Franklin, WI โ€“ 100% Onsite
Duration and hire type: Long-Term Contract with potential for Extension
Shift: 1st Shift, Monday-Thursday, 4 10 hour days, OT on Friday is mandatory
Hours: 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM
Compensation: $20/hr

Job Description:
In this role, you will assemble overhead power distribution switches, including IntelliRupter units, in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will work in a production environment, engage in continuous production activity, must meet requirements within time constraints and you will be responsible for meeting production and quality standards. Tasks require a mechanical assembly aptitude, an above average degree of eye-hand coordination, manual dexterity, and the use of both hands and arms on a repetitive basis for a full range of motion. You will frequently use hand and power tools; working while standing on the floor and occasionally on a ladder or lift.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assembling IntelliRupters at one of several stations, in sizes approximately 9โ€™ x 4โ€™ x 4โ€™
  • Identifying, transporting, installing, mounting and bolting all switch components (ranging from 5 lbs. to over 25 lbs. without equipment assistance)
    • Some judgment required to assemble and make simple adjustments
  • Performing mechanical inspection using torque wrenches, screwdriver and tape measure
  • Using simple material handling equipment, hand tools, power tools, simple gauges and instruments, and overhead cranes
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Basic knowledge of mechanical assembly operations
  • Ability to use basic shop math and measuring tools such as tape measures
  • Ability to use air impact tools and other hand-held tools
  • Ability to follow specific instructions and procedures and read assembly prints
  • Mechanical assembly experience preferred
