We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Cook to join our team at Parkhouse Nursing and Rehab Center. As a Cook, you will play a vital role in preparing and serving nutritious, home-style meals to our wonderful residents. Shifts Available:
• 5am-1pm

Full-time and Part-time positions available

Cook Key Duties:

• Prepare food as assigned according to standardized recipes to provide residents with consistently accurate, tasteful, and cost-effective meals.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outline standards, ensuring that the food is at the correct temperature, and is attractive and tasty.
• Taste all prepared food items for quality control.
• Clean the kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining standards of cleanliness, and store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food-handling procedures.
• Perform other job-related duties as they become required.

Cook Qualifications:

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• ServSafe Certification preferred or will become ServSafe certified after hired.
• Ability to lift/carry a maximum of fifty pounds, push/pull a maximum of fifty pounds, stand, bend, and walk for extended periods of time.
• Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred.
