About the Role
As a Registered Cardiac Sonographer, you'll play a critical role in assessing cardiac function and supporting diagnosis through high-quality cardiovascular ultrasound imaging. You will be responsible for performing echocardiograms, ensuring optimal image capture, preparing reports, and maintaining equipment in accordance with accreditation standards.
This position requires both technical excellence and compassionate patient interaction. You'll be a key part of our imaging team-helping patients feel at ease during testing while supporting providers with accurate, timely results.
Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities
Cardiac Imaging & Patient Care
  • Perform diagnostic echocardiograms using established protocols and adapt techniques to patient needs
  • Prepare patients by explaining procedures, obtaining history, and ensuring comfort and safety
  • Document procedures and confirm accurate patient data in the EMR
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
  • Sanitize transducers, exam beds, and cables daily
  • Conduct weekly and monthly system backups, purges, and preventative maintenance
  • Coordinate repairs with service technicians and verify functionality
Administrative & Quality Support
  • Log completed exams, record diagnostic codes, and maintain organized patient records
  • Retrieve and prepare studies for physician review
  • Assist in training new sonographers, students, and clinical staff
Professional Development & Collaboration
  • Maintain required certifications and participate in continuing education
  • Support lab accreditation and quality assurance standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and clinic staff to optimize workflow and patient outcomes
What You'll Need to Succeed
Required:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP- or CMA-approved School of Diagnostic Ultrasound (or equivalent training per ICAEL standards)
  • National Certification in echocardiography through:
    • ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography)
    • or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International)
  • BLS certification through the American Heart Association

Preferred:
  • Prior experience in cardiology or specialty imaging
  • Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to patient care
Work Environment
Location: 202 N Division St suite 201, Auburn, WA 98001
  • Outpatient cardiology clinic setting
  • Standard office environment with moderate patient flow
  • Collaborative team of cardiologists, RNs, and allied health professionals

Schedule: (4) 10-hour shifts, 7am-5:30pm (days vary based on patient scheduling, but schedules are released 3 months in advance).

Wage Range:
Registered Cardiac Sonographers: $42.50 - $66.19 per hour
Unregistered Cardiac Sonographers: $39.50 - $63.19 per hour
