Job description

Program essential function is to deliver substance abuse prevention activities for individuals and groups within communities facing multiple risk factors by helping to provide opportunities for empowerment and promotion of protective factors for individuals, families, and communities to meet the standards and objectives set forth by the community prevention programs.
This role will deliver services to after-school community-based programs using evidence-based curriculum for individuals and groups from age 5-13 years old. Providing opportunities for empowerment, the promotion of protective factors and academic assistance along with life skills learned from the curriculum.
This role applies comprehensive understanding of the needs of the targeted youth population utilizing the evidenced-based curriculum. Staff will recruit participants, engage with the parents as needed, model effective communication problem solving skills, and work with the community center staff as needed. This role requires the individual to be self-motivated and work independently with students that are 5 to 13 years of age.
This (part-time, 20 hours a week) position requires some administrative paperwork duties, curriculum lesson planning, and communication via email, telephone, and in-person. One positions available in Pensacola. Weekly schedule is M-F, 1pm-5pm. $16/hr.
Position requires a Level II Background.
