Job Description:

The Power BI Developer will play a key role in data visualization and data modeling, working in multiple tables and reports. This is a true Power BI expert in reporting and administration, utilizing SSRS and SSIS in their reporting. This candidate will need strong communication skills as they will be meeting with different business units for whom they are creating these reports. As the expert, they will need to provide insight to different teams on the progression of projects.


Key Responsibilities:

-Define, design, develop, document, and maintain Power BI data models and visualizations.

-Implement advanced techniques using Power BI Premium, TMDL, XMLA Endpoints, and Tabular Editor 3 to elevate our analytics capabilities.

-Stay informed about new developments and technologies through continuous learning, industry publications, vendor contacts, trainings, etc.

-Provide guidance on Power BI security, user mapping, and app deployment.

-Maintain adherence to security and architectural standards as well as usability design principles.


Qualifications:

-Thorough understanding of PowerBI architecture and capabilities such as CI/CD pipelines, data modeling, security, architecture, etc.

-Experience with connecting to SQL Server databases to pull data

-Strong knowledge of PowerBI dashboard development, Data Visualization concepts, ETL processes, Data Architectures, and Data Modeling.

-Must have an analytical mind, be a critical thinker and problem solver.

-Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and ability to effectively communicate with both business and technical teams.


Additional Details:

- Experience within manufacturing or warehouse production

- Knowledge of additional BI/reporting tools is beneficial

- Relevant certifications (e.g., Power BI, Microsoft Fabric, Tableau) are preferred
