Dosing Nurse (LPN/RN) -- Medication-Assisted Treatment Clinic

Community Medical Services

Eugene, OR • On-site

$38 - $42/hr

Full-time

Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement, PTO

Posted 12 days ago

Job description

Description:

Pay: $38–$42/hr

Schedule: 40 hours/week, plus every other Saturday, 7–9 AM. Choose the weekday schedule that works best for you:

  • Option A: Tuesday–Friday, 5:00 AM–3:30 PM
  • Option B: Monday–Friday, 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
Why This Role

Tired of physically demanding bedside shifts? As a Dosing Nurse, you won't be lifting or moving patients — instead, you'll spend your day in steady, meaningful conversations with people at the start of their recovery journey. It's outpatient work in a clinic setting, much like a doctor's office, with a consistent schedule and a supportive team behind you.

Community Medical Services (CMS) is urgently hiring a Dosing Nurse to administer medication-assisted treatment to patients recovering from opioid and other substance use disorders. Working under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, you'll conduct required testing, manage medication inventory, and support our medical providers in creating a safe space for recovery.

What You'll Do
  • Administer medications as prescribed by a CMS medical provider
  • Monitor patients for medical, behavioral, and physical symptoms related to dosage and substance use
  • Obtain vital signs, blood specimens, and urine samples; process point-of-care drug screens
  • Maintain accurate client records in our EHR system
  • Monitor medication administration closely and report any concerns per company policy
  • Maintain accurate medication inventory and order dosing room supplies
  • Respond to medical emergencies, including administering CPR if needed

(Full list of responsibilities shared during the interview process.)

Grow With Us

Many of our nurses build long-term careers at CMS — whether that means moving into clinical leadership, specializing in addiction medicine, or using our tuition and CME reimbursement (up to 100%) to pursue an RN or advanced credential. We invest in where you're headed, not just the role you're in today.

Benefits
  • Subsidized medical, dental, and vision insurance
  • Health savings account
  • Short- and long-term disability insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time
  • 401(k) retirement plan with match
  • Tuition and CME reimbursement up to 100%
  • Employee assistance program for mental health and wellness
  • Ongoing professional development

Community Medical Services (CMS) is a CARF-accredited addiction treatment program providing outpatient medication-assisted treatment and counseling to individuals with opioid use disorder. Headquartered in Arizona, CMS operates more than 70 clinics across 14 states, working to close the treatment gap in communities affected by the opioid epidemic.

CMS is an equal employment opportunity employer. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, national origin, sex, disability status, sexual orientation, gender identity, age, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law. Reasonable accommodations are available for individuals with disabilities to perform essential job functions.

Requirements:

  • Active LPN or RN license in Oregon
  • Current CPR certification
  • Valid driver's license and a clean driving record (39-month MVR) — occasional travel between CMS sites and medication delivery to external facilities is part of this role
  • Reliable transportation
  • Knowledge of intoxication and opioid withdrawal signs is a plus
  • Experience in substance use disorder treatment preferred, but not required — we'll train the right person
