Hours: Part-time up to 17 hours per week

Working under the supervision of Director of Tutoring and Academic Success, the Test Proctor provides direct support for students who utilize the Testing Center.   The Test Proctor’s main function is to supervise students during testing, maintain test integrity and an environment conducive to testing, maintain tests for faculty drop off and pick up and lastly to be proctor trained in NHS, TEAS and CLEP testing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Tutoring and Academic Success. the Test Proctor is responsible for effective performance in these essential duties:
Key responsibilities include:

  • Prepare computer labs for testing which includes sanitizing workstations, furnishing labs with stationery and ensuring computers and testing software are working properly before testing.
  • Checking in students with their college or Government issued identification.
  • Maintain a distraction-free testing environment.
  • Provide information about testing policies and procedures to students.
  • Supervise students during testing to maintain test integrity.
  • Maintain test documents in the file cabinet for faculty drop off and pick up

Minimum Qualifications

Associate’s degree in a related field.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Relevant work experience
  • Understanding of confidentiality regarding student records.
  • Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, including individuals with disabilities
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working with student information systems (e.g., Banner).
  • Familiarity with the community college mission, environment, and student population.
Salary 
  • $37.74 hourly
