Key responsibilities

Description

American Traveler is hiring an Interventional Radiology Technologist for Cardiac Cath Lab, requiring 2+ years of experience and ARRT-R, ACLS, and BLS certification.

Details
  • Diagnostic and Interventional Cardiac Cath Lab and Electrophysiology (EP) Lab setting
  • 5x8-hour day shifts from 7:45 AM to 4:15 PM, Monday through Friday
  • Alternate schedule of (4) 9-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week may be considered
  • Call required 1-2 nights per week and every 4th weekend
  • Utilizes GE Innova IGS equipment
Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of experience required; Cardiac Cath experience preferred
  • ARRT-R certification required (hard stop)
  • Current ACLS and BLS certification required
  • Experience in Electrophysiology, Vascular, or Interventional Radiology preferred
  • Teaching hospital, community hospital, and Trauma Level II experience preferred
  • Skilled in diagnostic and left/right heart catheterizations, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
  • Experience with hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, and PA line insertion preferred
  • Knowledge of EKG lead placement, arrhythmia recognition and interpretation, and cardioversion
  • Experience with central venous access (non-tunneled/PICC lines) and vascular studies including thrombolysis/thrombectomy and upper/lower extremity angiography preferred
  • Education must be from an ACEN or CCNE accredited program
  • License required if applicable
  • 2 professional references required, with at least one from a manager, director, or supervisor; charge RN acceptable as second reference; no coworker references accepted
Additional Information
  • Responsibilities include equipment set up, sterile field maintenance, room circulator duties, and prepping access sites
  • Adheres to isolation precautions, infection control, and sterile technique protocols
  • First-time travelers will be considered if candidate has 2+ years of relevant Cath Lab experience
  • Local candidates accepted at the same rate
  • Former employees eligible for travel assignment after 6 months away from the facility
  • Current employees are ineligible for a travel assignment at this facility
  • RTO must be submitted with application and built into the contract, limited to 7 days or less
  • Candidates must complete Ohio fingerprinting promptly after signing contract due to strict compliance timelines
