Job description

Psychiatric Mental Health (PMHNP)
Location: Grafton 43146, Ohio
Duration: Approximately 3 Months (Extension Possible)
Schedule: Day Shift, Monday–Friday (No Weekends or Holidays)
Hours: 20–30 Hours per Week
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) to provide comprehensive psychiatric and mental health services within a correctional healthcare setting. The provider will deliver high-quality patient care, perform psychiatric evaluations, prescribe medications, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and maintain accurate clinical documentation.
Responsibilities
•    Conduct psychiatric and mental health assessments.
•    Diagnose mental health conditions and develop treatment plans.
•    Prescribe and manage psychotropic medications.
•    Order, interpret, and evaluate laboratory tests.
•    Provide crisis intervention and psychiatric care as needed.
•    Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
•    Maintain timely and accurate electronic medical records.
•    Participate in multidisciplinary treatment planning and case reviews.
•    Provide clinical guidance and support to nursing and mental health staff.
•    Participate in quality improvement initiatives.
•    Maintain current clinical competencies and professional standards.
Qualifications
•    Master's Degree or higher in Nursing.
•    Active Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) certification.
•    Active and unrestricted Ohio APRN/RN license (or ability to obtain before start).
•    Current Healthcare Provider BLS/CPR certification.
•    Current DEA registration.
•    Strong psychiatric assessment and medication management experience.
•    Previous correctional, forensic, behavioral health, or inpatient psychiatric experience is preferred.
