Job description

Manifest Solutions is currently seeking a Senior Compliance Technical Writer for a position in Columbus, OH.

  • Prepare, edit, and maintain NERC compliance documentation, including: Procedures, Guidelines, Policies, Process Maps
  • Edit documents for spelling, grammar, clarity, consistency, content accuracy, readability, and compliance alignment.
  • Independently or collaboratively develop documentation outlines, content structures, and revision plans.
  • Translate moderate to complex technical and regulatory requirements into clear, concise language suitable for a broad audience, including non technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure documentation aligns with internal standards and external NERC reliability requirements.
  • Support the ENRA Compliance group in documenting and maintaining regulated processes and systems.
  • Research, develop, and coordinate updates to new and existing procedures in response to regulatory changes, audit findings, or internal process improvements.
  • Verify documented processes reflect actual practices and system behavior.
  • Assist in establishing and maintaining procedure revision guidelines, writing standards, and formatting conventions.
  • Coordinate with cross functional teams during procedure development and revision efforts.
  • Coordinate documentation activities with internal departments and external organizations, as needed.
  • Promote adherence to corporate policies, standards, enabling characteristics, and ethics.
  • Perform emerging or additional duties as assigned.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Technical Communication, English, or a related field; or a four year technology degree with an emphasis in technical communication; or equivalent related professional experience.
  • 4–5 years of technical writing or documentation experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple documentation efforts simultaneously in a fast paced environment.
  • Experience with Visio and process mapping.
