Minimum Qualifications/Requirements:
Students must:
  • possess strong written and verbal communication skills, organizational and time management skills, and professional telephone etiquette
  • be proficient with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook, and the ability to operate standard office equipment
  • successfully complete a background check as a condition of employment.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • previous customer service experience

Summary of Duties:
Student employment provides student with the opportunity to gain valuable work experience while supporting campus programs and services.
In this position, the student will:
  • Provide front office reception and administrative support while gaining valuable customer service and office experience in a professional higher education environment.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for visitors, students, employees, and the public by greeting guests, answering and directing telephone calls, and responding to general inquiries.
  • Maintain front desk coverage to support uninterrupted customer service during staff absences.
  • Assist with daily office operations by operating standard office equipment, notifying employees of scheduled visitors and appointments, and providing administrative support to departmental staff as assigned.
  • Help maintain a welcoming, organized, and efficient office environment while delivering courteous and professional customer service.
