We build structures that last. If you thrive on precision, accountability, and teamwork, this structural fabrication role puts your welding expertise front and center.

When You'll Work
  • 1st Shift typically 5:30am – 4:00pm, M–F
  • 2nd Shift typically 4:00pm – 2:30am, M–F
What will you do?
  • Identify piece marks, check drawing revisions, and confirm finish codes before fabrication begins.
  • Understand part orientation and industry acronyms to avoid rework.
  • Interpret weld symbols to select the correct weld types, sizes, and procedures.
  • Perform precise measurement, layout, and marking using tapes, squares, levels, and layout tools.
  • Run FCAW in 1G or 3G positions according to shop drawings.
  • Conduct thermal cutting, back-gouging, and grinding to prep and finish joints.
How will you keep people safe?
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area—Safety > Speed.
  • Safely operate overhead cranes, welders, torches, and grinders.
  • Work side-by-side with CNC operators, foremen, welders, fabricators, painters, and QC to move work efficiently.
How do we ensure quality?
  • Follow AISC and AWS Quality Management System requirements.
  • Verify heat numbers, piece marks, and orientation on every part.
  • Self-inspect and correct issues prior to QC review.
  • Report drawing or material discrepancies to supervision immediately.
What experience helps you excel?
  • 5+ years of structural steel welding experience.
  • Proven skill reading and interpreting structural shop drawings and weld symbols.
  • Demonstrated proficiency welding structural steel.
  • Experience operating overhead cranes.
  • Thorough knowledge of steel fabrication tolerances and quality requirements.
  • Dependability, safety focus, and a quality-first approach.
