Job description

Position Summary 

The Design Intern is a key role working to support the in-house Design team.  Positioned within a fast-paced environment that requires the candidate to be a self-starter, ability to multi-task, detail oriented, sense of urgency, highly numerate and have the skill set to work collaboratively both internally and externally with prestige customers.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborates on all projects with the Creative team, builds an understanding of the workflow form ideation to production, and may potentially see your design come to life. 
  • Assist designers in the creation of die-lines, customer templates, specs and all related digital processes.
  • Modifies existing designs to meet new project needs. 
  • Gains an understanding of the materials used in the temporary and semi-temporary display world.
  • Builds technical expertise utilizing best practices through mentorship from experienced designers by creating prototypes, mock-ups and assembly sheets.
  • Over time will learn how to analyze and perform the necessary tests required to ensure optimal structural integrity.
  • Maintains effective time-management on multiple projects.
  • Learns and follows all guidelines and best practices regarding quality control procedures.
  • Complies with all company policies and procedures, including safety, organizational skills and maintaining good housekeeping.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Creative Director.
  • Role is on-site.
  • Gain practical experience in ArtiosCAD, ArtiosCad 3D, MS Office, Adobe Creative Suite, Rhino 3D.

Education 

Pursuing a Bachelor's Degree for Packaging or Product Design.  

Experience

No experience necessary. 

Computer Skills 

Adobe suite, Rendering Software and CAD software is a plus but not a requirement.
