Job description

The Service Center Team is seeking an intern to support senior planners with day-to-day workflows, including case implementation, servicing, and research for ongoing projects. The goal of the Service Center team is to be a resource desk for our outside RIA’s and a reliable third-party consulting team to assist advisors with their servicing needs.

Job Summary:

In this back-office role, you will develop expertise in the various aspects of Valmark's proprietary Service Center processes as well as awareness around general financial planning terminology. As a Service Center Intern, you will be responsible for assisting onsite and nationwide financial professionals with their day-to-day workflow.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

  • Develop a mastery of Valmark’s Service Center processes
  • Understand financial instruments such as ETFs, mutual funds, life insurance, and annuities
  • Provide support with initial plan implementation, recommendations, and reviews
  • Gather necessary information from various sources including insurance carriers, Valmark’s clients and internal sources
  • Prepare annuity proposals to support case design
  • Update current and creating new advisor-facing and client-facing material
  • Assist with Service Center research in a constantly changing environment
