Job description

Our Columbus Ohio Distribution Center is looking for a full-time Warehouse associate to work as a Hose and Wire Spooler.

We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable, and safety-conscious Hose and Wire Spooler to support our warehouse operations through accurate order fulfillment, product handling, inventory maintenance, and production activities. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced environment that requires strong attention to detail, a commitment to quality, and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
The ideal candidate is a reliable team player who enjoys physical work, is comfortable operating warehouse machinery, and is willing to be trained and certified on a forklift.
Responsibilities

  • Accurately fill customer orders by pulling, inspecting, packaging, and preparing products for shipment.
  • Perform daily production tasks including:
    • Spooling wire
    • Cutting hose
    • Repackaging bulk chemicals
    • Preparing products according to company standards
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by documenting quantities, recording footage deductions, and identifying out-of-stock items.
  • Ensure products with multiple packaging codes are stocked and prepared correctly.
  • Stock received merchandise within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Visually inspect products for quality and verify label accuracy on all orders.
  • Complete and submit a Daily Production Report to the department lead.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Operate warehouse equipment and machinery safely and efficiently.
  • Meet established productivity goals, including spooling wire at a minimum rate of 30 spools per hour.
  • Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Qualifications
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds floor to waist, waist to waist, and shoulder to waist
  • The ability to walk and stand on concrete floors for long periods of time
  • The ability to bend and twist the back; the ability to finely manipulate and grip objects; the ability to squat and reach overhead to gain access to higher and lower shelves
  • The ability to do occasional neck flexions, extensions, and twisting while sitting, standing, or squatting
  • Comfortable working with machinery
  • The ability to read and write small letters and numbers; the ability to make arithmetic calculations;and the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions
  • Standing and walking all day
  • The successful completion of a ninety (90) day orientation period

Additional Information:
The pay rate is $18 per hour plus the opportunity to earn $200 in monthly bonuses
The hours are 8:30AM to 5:00pm- Monday through Friday
