Seeking a Senior Network Engineer for Installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewall platforms, wireless controllers and access points. Experience terminating copper and fiber cabling, validating cabling with testers/light meters, and managing rack infrastructure.  Interview: IN-PERSON

Role and Experience

·         Cisco platforms and technologies, including IOS/IOS-XE, Catalyst series, DNA Center, Identity Services Engine (ISE), TACACS+, spanning tree, VLANs, Qo      Required  10            Years

·         Installation, configuration, optimization, and troubleshooting of Cisco routers, switches, firewall platforms, wireless controllers and access points          

·         Experience Implementing and supporting advanced routing, VPN technologies, port channels, and first-hop redundancy              

·         Experience terminating copper and fiber cabling, validating cabling with testers/light meters, and managing rack infrastructure                    

·         Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)             Required                  

·         Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) preferred         Highly desired                       

·         Knowledge of: oral & written communication tools& techniques, customer support & personal service technical writing& documentation practices, policy & procedures.

·         Mathematic principles relative to assigned area in IT, telecommunications, capabilities, & applications of network equipment including hubs, routers, switches, bridges, servers, & related hardware,

Copper ethernet cabling (Cat5e,Cat6, Cat6a) and fiber cabling (single-mode, multi-mode), basic electrical power (e.g., various plugs and receptacles, wattage, current, voltage, requirements, etc.), along with enterprise class UPSs, ITIL Framework and best IT Service Management (ITSM) practices.

·         Skill in: reading comprehension, speaking, service orientation, installation, troubleshooting, critical thinking, operation monitoring, judgment & decision making, systems analysis, systems evaluations, operation analysis, identifying & specifying business requirements, using data recovery tools & techniques & systems evaluation, &complex problem solving;

·         Configuring, deploying, administering, optimizing, and troubleshooting Cisco routers (e.g., Catalyst 8200, 8300, 8500 series), Cisco switches (e.g., Catalyst 9200, 9300, 9400, 9500 series), Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) and Firepower, Cisco wireless infrastructure (e.g.,WLCs and APs), Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE) for network access control,802.1x, profiling, and policy enforcement, TACACS+ (e.g., for centralized authentication and device access control);

·         Cisco Catalyst/DNA Center to perform network automation, assurance and performance monitoring, and software image management (SWIM), SNMPc application;

·         IP Address management Tools (e.g.,EasyIP) to centrally manage IPV4/UPV6 address spaces, and automate IPallocation;

·         writing, reviewing, and optimizing Cisco switch configuration (e.g.,VLANs, trunking, STP and RSTP, EtherChannel, QoS, etc.); implementing, configuring, administering, and supporting BGP and OSPF routing protocols, VPNtechnologies (IPsec, and GRE), port channels (EtherChannel/LAG) using LACP, First Hop Redundancy Protocols (e.g., HSRP and GLBP), BWC''s DUO implementation for multi-factor authentication;

·         using tools (e.g., Wireshark and Omni Peek) toperform packet capture and deep-dive analysis;

·         cable termination, including RJ-45connectors, patch panels;

·         utilizing productivity tools (e.g., Word, Excel, Visio, SharePoint, OneNote) to create and update digital artifacts that document processes, procedures, logical and physical configuration (e.g., diagrams), etc.;

·         creation, updating, and resolution of various types of tickets in ITSM System, along with creation and updating of asset records in the same.(e.g., ServiceNow);

·         using cable testers and light meters to validate cable integrity;

·         installing and managing rack equipment, patch panels, cable trays.

·         Ability to: prepare meaningful, accurate & concise reports, stay abreast of current technologies in area of IT assigned, &define problems, collect data, establish facts & draw valid conclusions. Discuss, explain, and establish understanding surrounding technology- oriented topics of varying complexity to all levels of the organization, including management.
