Job description

As a Corporate Communications - Senior Associate within Corporate Communications, you will create and execute communications strategies within JPMorganChase brand guidelines and best practices.

This role supports internal corporate communications in the Midwest region. Reporting to the North America communications lead, you will create and publish employee newsletters, emails, intranet articles, digital signs and other content supporting campus events and community initiatives. You will also support crisis communications as needed. Primary support in the Midwest region includes corporate centers/tech centers in Chicago and Columbus, along with markets in the Dakotas, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, West Virginia and Wisconsin.

Job responsibilities:

  • Create and execute communications strategies within JPMorganChase brand guidelines and best practices.

  • Research, develop and write internal communications for location-specific channels that engage employees and amplify campus events, workplace amenities, facility renovations and community involvement, including the company's investments in local initiatives.

  • Build and maintain relationships with senior executives, location managers, real estate teams, key stakeholders, subject matter experts and external communications colleagues.
     

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:

  • 5+ years of experience in corporate communications.

  • Strong executive presence and experience working with and counseling senior leaders.

  • Excellent writer with a strong eye for visual design. Background in journalism and or/similar role in communications, marketing or social media.

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to handle complex projects with discipline and precision.

  • Skilled interviewer who is able to gather information on complex topics and identify what's needed for clear and concise communications, avoiding unnecessary details.

  • Proven ability to exercise sound judgment in a fast-past environment.

  • A self-starter with the confidence to pitch fresh ideas, think creatively and solve problems.

  • Ability to culture relationships in a large organization.

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

  • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.).

  • Occasional travel to corporate center locations may be required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with video production (storyboarding, shooting, editing, etc.)

  • Experience with Canva or other graphic design platforms.
