B&N CADD Technician Responsibilities
  • Support engineers and senior CAD designers with transportation projects in Ohio and other regions
  • Assist engineers and CAD designers with transportation projects with tasks such as drafting and design, creation / editing of technical drawings and materials for submittal packages
  • Support completion of engineering calculations using Microsoft Excel
  • Support creation of construction specifications using Microsoft Word
  • Assist in training lower-level CAD technicians on MicroStation/OpenRoads, plan production, and best practices

Skills & Qualifications
  • Vocational school or associate degree in related program preferred. Civil Engineering Technician preferred
  • Highly proficient using MicroStation / OpenRoads and Microsoft Office required
  • Experience in plan development for public agencies, counties and/or municipalities
  • AutoCAD/Civil 3D experience is a plus
  • Ability to train staff in AutoCAD / Civil 3D design / production a plus
  • Ability to take verbal direction and implement into drawings and calculations to produce the final work
  • Good communication skills, team player and detail oriented with a strong understanding of plan clarity
  • Interested in training staff and supporting the growth of Transportation CADD team as a company resource for roadway, traffic, drainage and other discipline production efforts
