CNC Machinist

A Global OEM Manufacturer is looking for a CNC Machinist to join their team.

Job duties:

·       Read and interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and GD&T requirements.

·       Set up and operate CNC and manual mills and lathes.

·       Program CNC machines, including tool offsets, work coordinates, speeds, feeds, and cutting parameters.

·       Perform machining operations such as:

·       Milling

·       Turning

·       Drilling

·       Boring

·       Grooving

·       Threading

·       Facing

·       Knurling

·       Design and build machining fixtures and work holding setups.

·       Verify dimensions using precision measuring equipment.

·       Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize programs and processes.

·       Maintain machine tools and perform preventive maintenance.

·       Use CAD/CAM software, preferably CATIA, to create and modify machining programs.

·       Create setup sheets and supporting documentation for machine operators.

·       Select tooling and cutting strategies for various materials.

·       Machine parts to print specifications and special customer requirements.

Job Requirements

·      
5+ years of CNC programming and machining experience.

·       Experience with both CNC and manual machining equipment.

·       Strong understanding of GD&T.

·       Proficiency with CAD/CAM software (CATIA preferred; Mastercam or GibbsCAM acceptable).

·       Ability to program and optimize 3-axis and 5-axis machining centers.

·       Experience calculating speeds, feeds, and machining parameters.

·       Proficient with precision measuring instruments.

·       Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.

·       Vericut experience is a plus.

·       Experience writing post processors is a plus.
