Job description


Job Summary
Vertiv's Global Engineering Services group is seeking a Technical Product Manager to help define and maintain our Rack PDU portfolios for our data center infrastructure connectivity solutions. Work will include working with internal and external customers, prioritizing feature backlog with Agile techniques, create technical Market Requirement Documents (MRDs) to clearly define needs of market to engineering teams. A successful candidate should be skilled in of several areas of expertise: AI, Agile, Program Management, Interpersonal skills, technical proficiency,
Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with other engineering groups, team leads, and product management to design, document, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions to meet customer needs.
  • Define, develop, and administer customer facing product evaluation programs and roadmaps
  • Provide on-site critical customer consultations when required.
  • Use of Agentic AI to create and maintain Product Documentation including user manuals, quick start guides, and technical documentation. Provide support to regionalize documents as needed.
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum process. WSJF experience for backlog prioritization.
  • Project Sponsor and interface with Project Management team to approve change requests.
  • Analyze competitor products, documenting strengths, and deficiencies in core functionality.
  • Skilled at documenting and troubleshooting using appropriate tools and techniques (Gitlab, Cursor, Smartsheet).
  • BS Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related technical discipline with 8+ years of professional engineering experience in designing, developing, analyzing networking products.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and knowledge of relevant customer segments
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Use of Agentic AI (Cursor or similar) is required to assist in documentation, market requirements, rapid demonstration/prototype examples, etc.
  • Demonstrated leadership skill of leading discussion, summarize key points and action items.
  • Knowledge of bug/defect tracking tools is a plus.
  • Technical expertise to translate customer needs/pain points to solutions.
  • Strong written/oral communication, especially in communicating customer needs.
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Strong research and analytical skills
  • Effectively communicates technical information and complex ideas to technically diverse audiences.

Requirements:
