Schedule
- Shift: 12D/N rotating or 12N (chemo certification required)
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years RN experience overall
- Medical-surgical oncology experience
- At least 1 year of inpatient hematology-oncology experience
- Experience with leukemia or blood dyscrasias required
- Valid RN license
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, ONS chemotherapy certification
- Charting system experience: EPIC
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adults and geriatric patients diagnosed with acute leukemia.
- Administer blood products, IV antibiotics, and electrolyte management as necessary.
- Monitor patients for signs of infection and implement infection prevention strategies.
- Interact with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Utilize telemetry monitoring and respond to any dysrhythmias.
- Recognize and communicate abnormal lab results and changes in patient condition.

- Orientation: Week 1 - Mon-Fri days; Week 2 - 36 hours on-unit with preceptor; total orientation hours listed as 72
