Job description

Environmental Engineer

The Environmental Engineer will administer the Environmental Management System in compliance with all applicable laws. Monitoring, reviewing and making recommendations to the current environmental practices that allow the company to work more efficiently. They will provide leadership to overall company environmental management system.

· Monitor and ensure compliance with all applicable Federal, State and Local Environmental regulations, statutes and permits.

· Establish, maintain and nurture positive relationships and communications with Ohio EPA and Federal EPA.

· Collect and report internal Greenhouse Gas emissions.

· Initiate and support Greenhouse Gas reduction activities.

· Monitor and report on changes in Environmental Requirements from Federal, State and Local agencies.

· Advise and inform management of compliance changes and activities.

· Conduct internal audits to ensure compliance activity.

· Support facility recycling efforts and report to parent company.

· Prepare and submit environmental reports, plans and permit applications to local, state and federal agencies.

· Assess potential environmental risks and provide mitigation plans to reduce incidents.

· Lead hazardous waste management and disposal activities.

· Lead and implement Carbon Neutrality projects, data collection activities and reporting of Sustainability efforts.

· Develop pollution and waste control programs.

· Reviewing and updating SPCC plans as needed.

· Conduct timely investigations of all environmental incidents and implement corrective action plans.

· Conduct field inspections.

· Coordinate HAZCOM/SDS Program for materials used, received and/or processed at the facility.

Requirements:

· Bachelor's degree in environmental engineering or related field.

· Thorough knowledge of permitting for air, water and land regulations.

· Experience with managing an EHS management system including ISO 14001.
