Job description

Registered Echo Technologist

Location: Lancaster, Ohio

Pay Rate: $2,500 To 2,720/Week

Contract: 13 Weeks

Schedule: Day shift

Experience:  1–2 years preferred

About the Role

We are seeking a Registered Echo Technologist to perform a variety of non-invasive cardiovascular diagnostic procedures that assist physicians in diagnosing and treating cardiac conditions. The technologist will provide high-quality patient care while maintaining accurate documentation and collaborating with the cardiovascular team.

Responsibilities
  • Perform transthoracic echocardiograms (2D, M-Mode, Color Flow, Spectral Doppler).

  • Assist with Stress Echocardiography and Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) procedures.

  • Perform EKGs, stress testing, event monitor applications, cardiac monitor applications, pulmonary function tests, and lower extremity Doppler studies.

  • Document procedure results accurately in Cerner EMR and promptly report critical findings.

  • Prepare, clean, and maintain cardiovascular equipment.

  • Assist with patient transport, supply management, and departmental workflow.

  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives, staff education, and departmental meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA, patient safety, and infection control standards.

Requirements
  • Associate or Bachelor's degree in Echocardiography, Vascular Technology, or Allied Health.

  • Current ARDMS (RVT) or CCI Registered Cardiac Sonographer credential (or registry eligible).

  • Current BLS certification.

  • Experience performing 2D Echo, M-Mode, Color Flow Doppler, Spectral Doppler, Stress Echo, and TEE preferred.

  • Experience with Cerner EMR preferred.

  • Ability to successfully complete rhythm recognition competency.
