Job description

Moody Engineering is seeking an experienced, growth-minded Roadway Design Engineer for our fast-growing roadway team in Columbus, Ohio. Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Project management planning, monitoring, and implementation
Lead roadway business development and client interface
Lead proposal preparation, including development of scope, schedule, and fee negotiation
Ability to manage multiple project teams and work with our Columbus and Cleveland offices.
Lead technical review, QA/QC, and technical mentoring program
Lead engineering design for roadway or site development projects
Perform roadway grading and drainage, utility design, parking lot design, storm sewer design, and storm water management calculations
Provide advice and creativity resolve any potential problems/deficiencies quickly
Take the project from due diligence through construction
Coordinate the execution of projects with our staff, our clients, and our project team members
Ideal Candidate Skills Include:
5+ years of experience working leading Transportation Projects
5+ years of experience working with Bentley/Microstation/Open Roads
5+ years of experience with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or Infrastructure Suite
5+ years of experience working on State, County, and City Transportation Projects
PE is preferred
Experience with roadway documents and permitting preferred with the City of Columbus/Cleveland.
Experience working with ODOT Districts 5, 6, 7, 8, and 12
Experience working with Cuyahoga and Franklin County
Ability to win transportation work and deliver exceptional results to clients
Strong analytical and communication skills
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to lead a multi-disciplinary team with minimal oversight
Educational Qualifications:
BSCE from an ABET accredited College or University required
